REPLANTING

This bookmark was created during the spring of 2024, at a time when most of the greenery is planted and moving into the maintenance phase. We have decided to take advantage of the funds saved by the lower tendered price for the landscape contractor and expand the project documentation to include additional green features and areas.

Thus, after the creation of additional project documentation and approval of the project by the grant provider, we are increasing the total number of plantings by an impressive 2,475 new trees! We are planting 50 multi-stemmed trees, including Lamarck’s fly agaric, hairy cherry and common lilac, which will add character to our environment. These woody plants are complemented by 2,425 shrubs such as comma David’s, nutsedge, Dammer’s rockrose, Fortune’s elm, latinum hydrangea, calico tulip, alpine merusalla, and flowering vajgelia. Most of the selected trees are flowering, creating a beautiful and harmonious composition throughout the season.

Trees are planted in existing areas, but completely new sections are also being created.

The additional planting will complement the 4 existing beds identified in the attached PDF of the project as follows:

Area 3 – By the Community Centre

Area 5 – By the bell tower

Area 6 – Towards the Gorge

Area 8 – By the Gopher.

We are also creating 4 new areas. All of these new areas are located along or in the immediate vicinity of Passing Street and are related to and complementary in place and content to the first planting:

Area 1 – Remízky bus stop

Area 2 – Přemyšlení bus stop

Area 4 – in front of the chapter house

Area 7 – Veltěž stop

The plantings are sensitively chosen to maintain a uniform aesthetic character along the entire length of Průběná Street.
